§ Mummies, Embalming Rooms, Hostages, and Zombies.
This dream occured last June 18, 2006 (Sunday)
I - The Mummy
The location was supposed to be the bottom-most gallery in a pyramid, and a female companion and I got there through ropes, carrying the body of a male person. We were wearing off-white robes.
The room was bright, as if sunlight streamed through. My companion and I were wrapping the body, but by the time we got to the point where the body was completely covered, and we were about to put it into its ornate sarcophagus, I had butterfingers and the body slipped to the floor, the wrappings unraveled.
The clumsy process happened three times, until the supposed-to-be-dead-and-embalmed body opened its eyes and looked at me, showing me the proper manner of wrapping a corpse. Initially, we were supposed to wrap him while he was in a prone & stiff position, but he preferred one where he was sitting with his legs crossed.
For some reason, I felt as if I changed personas with my companion -- I was the companion, and dream knowledge told me that the dead man was my husband. As we were finishing up on the wrapping, he looked at me with sad eyes. I kissed him on the lips, and said, "Je t'aime."
Defying all logic that a mummified body no longer has organs to function at all -- or just, simply, dead -- my "husband" wanted to go with us. We then followed the Sister-in-Law, and came upon a zigzagging oak staircase with matching oak panels. We went up several flights and came upon a modern and medical-like room...
II - The Embalming Room
GORE WARNING. Skip if you must.
The room was in shades of white and green, and there were stretchers everywhere. Doctors, nurses and assistants alike were wearing a white tuxedo-like top with black bowties, and a black clip on their left collar, paired with black pants.
To my right, I found that one of the doctors took my husband, and sat him down, forcing his eyes open with metallic clips. He was then the unwilling spectator of the gruesome method of embalming, "I'm not finished with you yet. I forgot to take your eyes out." the doctor told him, as he probed the nostrils of his current "corpse" with metal prods to pull his brain out. The more horrible part of that was that the "corpse" cried and convulsed in pain -- it was alive! I was horrified to know that he did the same thing to my husband.
END OF GORE WARNING.
The SIL took her husband and me aside, telling us that we had to get out, lest that we be taken for "patients". We took some uniforms and literally sang and tap-danced our way out of the Embalming Room.
III - The Hostage
We ran up some more, and arrived at a lobby. To my right was a long wooden table in front of a wall with a striped wooden panel. The table had white computers on it, and wires snaked everywhere. To my left were glass doors -- the exit.
The group I was in changed. We were now siblings: I, being the eldest sister, with a younger brother and a baby sister. We were held hostage in a department/drug store by a terrorist group lead by a man whom we'll call Mr. Stryker (since he resembles William Stryker from the movie, X2.) After looking for chocolates in a shelf, and witnessing a group thwarting a police chopper, I changed persona into that of the younger brother.
My siblings and I then found ourselves in a rain forest -- bright and sunny for one, though -- with the building of the department store way behind us. I found a way to escape, by locating an orange jelly-filled stream where we can slide down with our inflatable orange sled.
And slide down, we did -- only to find that a party with Mr. Stryder and the pale man in the black pinstriped suit have arranged an ambush party to meet us downstream. They got my sisters, and the eldest urged me to run away. I then followed her wish.
IV - The Zombies
I came upon an abandoned building. The front door was completely blocked by trees and shrubbery, so I found the back entrance -- which was pretty much cleared. I entered a small pantry-looking room. It actually had two doors, separated by four broken windows.
A young Oriental-looking girl came to greet me. However, she was acting in an autistic manner and couldn't talk properly. I tried to communicate that I needed to hide. An older woman, her mother, came out and told me not to stay there. She didn't get to finish her explanation as I heard my pursuer call out to her.
It would then seem that the mother-daughter tandem were unwilling associates of Mr. Stryder. He knew I was in the room, and he held a large machine gun. We played a short game of cat-and-mouse among the two doors.
The scene was cut to another one as he aimed his gun at me.
I found myself in the dark basement of the said building, and I saw zombie-like creatures groaning and stumbling to stand up. Dream Knowledge said that Mr. Stryder conducted experiments with humans, and this was the result of it. I turned to my right, and saw Mr. Stryder cackling evilly, standing under a ray of light.

Remark: When I said that particular, "I love you," it just felt real, as if I was trying to say to him that even though he's dead, I would still love him. It was even more real than the "I love yous" I've told my past partners. But, moving on...Suddenly, a man, whom dream knowledge tells me was his brother, came rappelling down a hole from the ceiling. He was joined by his wife (whom we'll call Sister-in-law or SIL) -- a very pale and large woman with loud red lips and sharp black eyes in brown and purple robes and works in the entertainment industry -- appeared from the left side of my vision. They told me that they found a quicker way out of the gallery and that we had to get out as fast as we could.

We ran up some more, and arrived at a lobby. To my right was a long wooden table in front of a wall with a striped wooden panel. The table had white computers on it, and wires snaked everywhere. To my left were glass doors -- the exit.
Somehow, I felt that my group were younger and that we were changing personas -- as if my dream was changing completely.A thin man with gelled-up and highlighted hair in a black pinstripe suit held us at gunpoint. He aimed his magnum at me, asking, "Tu sais déssiner?" to which I tried to reply a stuttered, "Ou-oui, m-monsieu --" and he cut me with, "Ne me fais ce 'ou-oui, m-monsieu'! Parle correctement!", stating his disdain for stuttering. I then answered a braver, "Oui, monseiur!" After which, he led me to a computer to do some layouting of text against background on an old Adobe Pagemaker (version 4, methinks.)
