§ Bats, Trains, Vacation Houses and Fireworks.
This dream occured last June 19, 2006. I'll be trying to do some catching up. ^_^;; Specially that my phone has the tendency to delete the contents of the personal dictionary and the drafts folder without notice.
I - The Bat
I was supposed to be in Paris with my Mom in her little flat. The room looked like a smaller version of Mr.'s from Spielberg's The Color Purple. The color scheme was green and black.
I was standing on the far corner of the room. To my right was a window with white sunlight beaming through it. A two-door closet stood by. Right beside it was a dresser with a fairly large mirror, and finally, the door.
I was right beside the bed. My mother was fixing the sheets while I was packing up. I bat suddenly flew past me, scratching my arm. My blood didn't look normal. It looked more as if a bright red tomato landed on me. Mom told me to clean it up so she can tend to it properly.
After slapping a band aid on my little scratch, we walked to the train station. The streets and the atmosphere (specially with the people walking around) felt like we were in the 1920s. But once inside the underground, everything were in shining gray metal.
II - The Train
My mother went on ahead as she was supposed to go somewhere else. I caught a train which would take me to the "university". The train felt old. I looked by my window, and saw a popular fast food chain. It's 2nd floor was open-air, and had a portion of a wall with windows and curtains, encouraging the diners to play a game of voyeurism. Didn't really know how that worked though. A young long-haired girl played along with a young boy.
I turned back to my seat, and suddenly recognized an old classmate from Collège de la Maillière (Lognes). At that moment, I forgot his name, but he recognized me. He was tall with dark hair. Now that I remember it, his name was Malco.
We chatted for a while, and the train suddenly had an open roof, and we sat down a box-like caboose. My classmates started appearing, along with my adviser, M. Barthès. I noticed that I was wearing a white long-sleeved blouse with jeans. They showed me yearbooks, testing if I still knew them.
I suddenly felt some yellowish liquid drip out of my left ear -- which disppeared as quickly as it came. I even got some tissues from my bag (which was green and black, and contained my little datebook and a small hairbrush), but it was gone.
They told me that we were going to a vacation house in Pampanga, and Mt. Pinatubo just stopped being active.
III - The Vacation House
M. Barth&eagrave;s told me that our hostess -- a middle aged woman with light skin and short, brown and wavy hair -- knew my mother well, and that she knows me from my childhood. We walked into this big white house, divided into three portions:
The middle part was more like an open gazebo. The land around it stretched far and no other structure could be seen as far as the eye could see. To me left was a large circular dining hall, separated from the gazebo by peach colored curtains. The other side of the house were the bedrooms.
We were given a meal in the dining room. The glass dining table was big & round and decorated with tall white flowers -- different types of lillies, baby's breath -- and tall green feathery stalks. I sat between my teacher and my hostess, whom, as expected, told me how tall I was the last time she saw me.
I was placed at the table with the kitchen behind me, and the brightly sunlit window in front of me, quite blocked by the flowers. I couldn't see my classmates anymore. We were served a meal of chicken and rice.
She also told us how practical the placement of the dining room was. Her daughter was married previously, and it was easy to bring food in from the kitchen onto the buffet when the servings ran out.
After the meal, she told my classmates and I to help her clean the floor, and to be careful while doing so: it was decorated with small tiles, arranged in a mosaic style, forming a large flower from the center of the gazebo, bordered with small flowers and linear patterns. Dominating colors were yellow, peach and blue.
My classmates and I were sent to our rooms to rest.
IV - Fireworks
I woke up and changed into a colorful blue/pink/yellow top with matching panties. I noticed that my fellow classmates were in similar garb -- with the guys just in shorts. I walked around the house, trying to ask what was going on. I went outside and saw that some of the boys were uncorking wine and setting off fireworks from bamboos on the stairs of the gazebo.
On the grounds were two groups: old fashioned cannons manned by middle-aged men. I saw my girl classmates from PUP. Dream Knowledge told me that the men were their fathers, and they were about to engage into some heavy paintball fight.
